“Leadership Matters”
Come and join the NSCA, with the support of WorkSafe Victoria, to embark on a fascinating journey into the world of crisis leadership and forensic science with our highly-regarded expert speaker Peter Baines.
In today’s increasingly uncertain world, there is no shortage of challenges in the workplace, home or society. In his presentation, Peter will discuss what it really takes to achieve results amidst unrelenting challenges, to take command of situations and to realise that leadership does matter.
About Peter Baines:
Peter Baines is an expert at creating successful results starting from nothing – no time, no money, no staff, but as Peter says, “No worries”. Throughout almost two decades Peter has experienced and led people through some of life’s most challenging events, making him one of Australia’s most experienced disaster management specialists.
His roles have included leading both national and international teams following the Bali bombings, the Waterfall train disaster and the Boxing Day Tsunami.
Peter Baines has firsthand experience of what it takes to achieve results in the midst of human devastation, when outcomes can only be reached through building powerful teams quickly, and how to focus on getting the job done in the face of intense environmental, political and media pressures.
