(Regulatory Requirements for Return to Work Coordinators)

Purpose

Management of workplace injuries trains Return to Work Coordinators in skills that are needed in their role to achieve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes. The course is designed to develop the experienced Return to Work Coordinator's ability to identify key flags, manage disputes, improve communication with key stakeholders and solve return to work challenges.

Duration

1 day recertifies the participant for a 3 year period.

Who Should Attend

  • Nominated Return to Work Coordinators (legal requirement)

  • Personnel involved in the injury management process can also benefit from attending this course.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Locate and interpret relevant legislation

  • Gain and maintain support from all parties involved in the return to work process

  • Identify key flags/barriers that may delay the return to work process

  • Improve your case management skills

Prerequisites

Must be a return to work coordinator in Queensland.

Completion

Statement of Attainment will be issued upon successful completion. The participant is responsible for managing there registration. This can be achieved by logging onto www.qcomp.com.au and register with comprehend, follow the prompts.

Course Delivery

The course is conducted at NSCA offices and covers catering and course notes.
