Overview
To course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to establish and/or maintain a system for managing the rehabilitation of injured workers at the workplace in accordance with the WPR best practice guidelines. Participants who complete the course are eligible for registration by Q-COMP as a RRTWC in Queensland.

Who Should Attend
If you have wages in Queensland of $5.998 million for the preceding financial year or are in a high risk industry with wages in Queensland for the preceding financial year of $1.826 million, you must appoint a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator (RRTWC) registered with Q-COMP.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able to:
- Notify their insurer of potential claims and if required, assist a worker to lodge a workers compensation claim.
- Develop and document a suitable duties plan for a worker based on the current medical certificate or report
- Review a worker’s suitable duties program
- Communicate with relevant parties regarding the worker’s progress
- Keep accurate and objective case notes
- Maintain a file for each worker undertaking rehabilitation
- Educate the line managers, supervisors and co-workers about workplace rehabilitation programs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of workplace rehabilitation.
Training Methods
The course is conducted in accordance with criteria set by the Q-Comp (The Worker’s Compensation Regulatory Authority).
Award
Participants who demonstrate competency by successfully completing a workbook assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment from NSCA which will enable the participant to apply to Q-Comp as a RRTWC.
