Overview
The course in OHS Consultation has been developed in line with the OHS Act 2000 and OHS Regulation 2001. A requirement is for all employers to consult with all employees on OHS issues. It also requires employers to systematically manage OHS and undertake risk management activities for all hazards within the workplace. Participants involved in other agreed arrangements and managers who wish to integrate all aspects of OHS management must have an understanding in the roles of the OHS Committee and OHS Representatives.
Who should attend?
This course is designed for OHS committee members and OHS representatives. Participants will become familiar with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principals of workplace OHS consultation as an integral part of an effective OHS management system (OHSMS). The course should also assist in the development of appropriate attitudes to enable OHS committee members and OHS representatives to effectively carry out their functions under OHS legislation.
