Harmonisation Overview
What is Harmonisation?
Harmonisation was introduced to nationally uniform the OHS legislative framework (consisting of the model OHS Act, model OHS legislations and model codes of practice). Currently there are numerous variations between the laws of each state and territory, as well as different standards of safety. The main objective of the model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act is to provide a balanced and nationally consistent framework, compliance policy and enforcement policy.
