2013 NSCA/GIO Workers Compensation National Safety Awards of Excellence

The National Safety Awards of Excellence are Australia's longest running, independent, Work Health and Safety (WHS) Awards. Now in their 21st year, these Awards continue to celebrate organisations and people that recognise WHS as a cornerstone of elite business performance.

The awards are open to any Australian operating business, organisation, and alliance or individual in the public or private sector, with a workplace health and safety initiative that complies with one of the seven categories (see list below).

The winners are announced at the prestigious awards gala luncheon in Sydney each October.

Last year saw messages of support from the Prime Minister of Australia, Ms Julia Gillard, the Leader of the Opposition, Mr Tony Abbott and the keynotes address by beyondblue CEO, Ms Kate Carnell AO.

The awards gala luncheon attracts over 300 directors, senior managers and WHS professionals.
