Alphapharm is a leader in the manufacture and export of Australian made pharmaceuticals - producing more tablets and capsules than any other company in Australia.

Employing over 700 people nationally and producing in excess of 300 products, Alphapharm attribute their continuing success to the attitude, knowledge and skills of their employees.

In early 2007, Alphapharm first explored the need for a behavioural based safety program and since this time has established and implemented a policy of continual improvement, succesfully winning “Best OHS Training Program” at the NSCA/SKILLED Group National Safety Awards of Excellence in 2007.

In that same year, they also entered the NSCA’s FiveStar Health and Safety Management System program. With the implementation of both the safety program and FiveStar system, Alphapharm demonstrated their commitment to achieving a safer working environment and effectively managing workplace health and safety. Following their first audit with the NSCA, they were successful in achieving an impressive 4 Star result, being one of very few organisations to achieve 4 Stars on their first audit. This is a great achievement and an acknowledgement that they are well on the way to achieving best practice in health and safety.
