CEO's Message - Colin Seery

CEO’s message

Do you know what’s really going on?

Employers must do more than question others when it comes to workplace safety. They must question themselves and encourage their workers to do the same.

Employers who are mindful of how they contribute to safety play a key role in risk management – they contribute to saving lives.

What are you asking yourself about safety in your workplace today?

What questioning power are you bestowing on your workforce?

Don’t expect common sense to prevail – I’m sure you have heard many times before and can list many  tragic examples that common sense isn’t so common. And don’t fall into the trap of assuming.

Employers must avoid rationalising their problems and believing in their own spin. They must make a conscious effort to find out what is really going on and be responsible for initiating change.
